New Job Codes
4 new Job Codes have been created to support payroll processing of Testing Ambassadors as follows:

Employee who does not have an active Regular appointment:
Paperwork:
- Form I-9
- Temporary Hourly Appointment Form
- Use existing temporary position number for department that is the same as the supervisor
- Use Job code above along with the appropriate hourly rate
- Temporary Salaried Appointment Form
- Use existing temporary position number for department that is the same as the supervisor
- Use Job code above
- e-Authorization if employee is a UMS student
- Use existing student position number for department that is the same as the supervisor
- Use Job code above along with the appropriate hourly rate
Payroll Setup:
- Temporary assignment will be set up with timesheet to report hours worked for hourly-paid employees
- New employees (cc Supervisor) will be sent an email notification that will include
- Employee time entry training materials as well as direct deposit and tax withholding guides for Employee Self-Service.
- Employees may be eligible for Maine Earned Paid Leave
Employee has Regular appointment:
Active Regular Hourly University Employees working as Ambassadors:
Paperwork:
- Dual Rate/ Working out of title
- Use same position number as regular position
- Use Job code above along with the appropriate hourly rate
- Temporary Hourly Appointment Form
- Use existing temporary position number for department that is the same as the supervisor
- Use Job code above along with the appropriate hourly rate
Payroll Setup:
- Dual Rated position will be set up as separate job with separate hourly rate to report hours on timesheet
- Regular earnings are subject to 403b benefits
- Overtime will be paid at the average hourly rate on all jobs’ hours
- Timesheet will have same Workgroup so TRC’s will be the same as Regular job
- Temporary assignment will be set up with timesheet to report hours worked
- Temporary earnings are not subject to 403b benefits
- Overtime will be paid at the average hourly rate on all jobs’ hours
- Timesheet will have temporary TRC’s (no benefits)
- Employee (cc Supervisor) will be sent an email notification when the job has been set up
Active Regular Salaried University Employees working as Ambassadors:
Paperwork:
- Active Salaried Employees who work temporarily as TA’s during their normal work schedule will be paid their normal salary
- If a Salaried employee works outside their normal work schedule as a TA, submit a Add Comp - Salaried form using appropriate job code above.
- Add job code for future reporting
