A. Add an Océ Variolink printer by using the USM Printer Utility (for Macs):
http://media.usm.maine.edu/~computing/USMPrinterUtility.dmg

(Download the USMPrinterUtility.dmg file, open the .dmg file, copy the USM Printer Utility.app to the Applications folder (at Macintosh HD > Applications), and run the USM Printer Utility.app program from the Applications folder. If you get a security warning message, see how to bypass it here:

 https://webapp.usm.maine.edu/confluence/display/kb/USM+Macintosh+Printer+Migration

B. Choose the appropriate driver for your printer. For example the DOIT-VL3622 printer uses the GENERIC36BW-2.gz printer driver. The "36" refers to the speed of the print engine, and the "BW" notes that it's a black and white printer/copier. If you don't find the appropriate driver and don't want to use the simpler generic driver with fewer functions, you'll have to download and install the drivers. See:
https://webapp.usm.maine.edu/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=9076766

NOTE: For the Imagistics model 3200 or 3200x fax machine / copier / printer, just use the Generic driver, not an Imagistics/Océ driver. Once it's installed, you can enable double-sided printing (there's no stapler) on this model by following the directions below and checking "Duplex Printing Unit."

C. Once you've added the printer, choose from the directions below to tell your computer that the printer is outfitted with double-sided and stapling capabilities.
